Chief Justice S K Mukherjee inaugurates national seminar on ' Indian Constitution – Democracy – Equality : Karnataka, a role model ’



Mysuru, Sept. 26, 2017 : The Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court Justice Subhro Kamal Mukherjee has inaugurated the two-day national seminar on ‘Constitution – Democracy – Equality: Karnataka, a role model’ at Senate Bhavan at Manasagangothri premises in the city on Tuesday as part of Mysuru Dasara festivities.

 

Addressing after inauguration of the seminar the Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court Justice Subhro Kamal Mukherjee said that “I am happy for the administration in organising such seminars during Dasara festivities.

 

Ours is the world’s largest democracy. Any government in the nation irrespective of party affiliations has to function according to the Constitution. The government has introduced several schemes in education and health sectors. More works need to be done in the days ahead,” he said.

 

Justice Mukherjee pointed out that for a peaceful society all of us should work in unison and treat every one as equal citizens.

 

District In-charge Minister Dr H C Mahadevappa, Deputy Commissioner D Randeep, Prof Gopal Guru, Centre for Political Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi; University of Mysore Vice Chancellor Prof Dayananda Mane, Deputy Director of Food and Civil Supplies Dr Ka Rameshwarappa and others were present.
